CERT Training
The windstorms in December were a wake up call for our city in becoming more organized and prepared in a disaster. Under the direction of West Bountiful City officials, West Bountiful is putting together CERT teams. CERT is an acronym for Community Emergency Response Team. The city’s goal is to have as many people as possible living in West Bountiful to be CERT trained. CERT training classes will be held at the West Bountiful City offices on Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 9:30pm. Classes will begin Thursday May 17th and go through June 21st with a mock disaster for the final class. The cost is $30 for the training book and CERT equipment. If you have been CERT certified in the past, and still have your own equipment the cost will be $10 for the new book. If you are interested, please contact Brian Rogers. If you are unable to attend these classes and are interested, we will be having more classes in the future. The classes are also offered through South Davis Metro Fire. With this training the life you save might be your loved one, or it might even be mine, so I need you there!
