Use of Car Engine as Power Source during Outage

This power converter allows you to generate up to 300 watts of electricity off of your car engine. During power outages I have used this as a power source for lights, television, and most appliances on a short term basis. You don't want to use it for more than an hour or so, because it requires running the car engine. You need to run an extension cord from your garage to the location in the house where power is needed. You should also have the car running outside or at least leave the garage door open to avoid letting the fumes build up in the garage.
